St Andrew’s School
Jane Keasberry has been the principal of St Andrew’s School (SAS) for the past seven years and has been in the field of education for 20 years. Jane sees the recognition of this Top 50 Most Influential Women honour as also a celebration of the school’s success, in upholding its values spelt “RECITAL” (which means): Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Excellence, Care, Integrity, Teamwork, Attentiveness and Loyalty.
Under her watch, SAS has achieved numerous accolades and awards, and it also has a history of achieving top academic results in both PSR and BCGE ‘O’Levels, churning out dynamic students who are making positive contributions to both the Government and Private Sectors today.
Internationally, SAS has won many competitions. The school was the Gold Medal Winner of the Gifted Excel Programme in Sweden; and was also the Gold and High Distinction Winners in the New South Wales competitions in Science, English and Mathematics.
Presently Jane oversees a student population of over 1,600 with a total of 100 teaching and office staff. Her leadership philosophy can be found in the school’s motto, which was established in 1957, to lead with Courage and Love.
