Datin Paduka Dr Hjh Norlila Dato Hj Abdul Jalil plays an important role in safeguarding the health of the Nation by providing a comprehensive range of health and medical services.

In her leadership role, one of Dr. Hjh Norlila’s main goals is to get members of the general public to increase their participation in health and fitness activities. She recognises that each individual has to become more responsible for looking after their own health and wellbeing. And she believes that everyone must be willing to work together with the Ministry to ensure that Brunei remains a healthy nation.

Datin Dr Hjh Norlila attended The Royal College of Physicians of London and Edinburgh; University College of London and Leeds University School of Medicine. She has worked at St. James University Hospital, London and St. Luke’s Hospital; and has also held many senior positions at RIPAS Hospital. In addition to this she has been on the Board of Directors of the National Cancer Centre, Jerudong Park Medical and the Medical Advisory Board Gleneagles.

In recognition of her commitment and extensive work in the medical field, Datin Dr Hjh Norlila Dato Hj Abdul has received many awards, the most recent being the 2013 Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei Yang Amat Mulia Darjah Kedua D.P.M.B which was bestowed on her by His Majesty the Sultan Dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
