As the first woman to be appointed Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports in 2010, Datin Paduka Hajah Adina binti Othman has continued to work tirelessly for the rights of women, children, the disabled, elderly, the poor and other vulnerable groups within the society. She has dedicated her career to helping others and to implementing measures which lead to improvements in the society.

Datin Hjh Adina was a Commissioner for the ASEAN Commission which promoted the Protection of the Rights of Women and Children from April 2010 to October 2011.

She has also been involved in doing several research papers two of which include “Decline in Moral Values among the Youth of Brunei Darussalam” and “Breaking the Cycle of Poverty”. Datin Adina has been on many panels discussing Youth Development, Community Service, and Social Welfare Issues.
