Sustainability is an embedded value in HSBC’s culture and integral to its business. HSBC recognises that the bank and our employees have a responsibility towards giving back to the community.
HSBC’s Corporate Sustainability projects revolve around education, financial literacy, community development and the environment.
The three major projects for 2014 included the Junior Achievement (JA) More Than Money Programme, The HSBC Box of Hope and the Green Xchange H20.
HSBC believes not only in financial giving but also provides for employee volunteerism, supporting projects that make a difference across the nation. We are proud to have employees that embody values of loyalty and dedication towards a common purpose.
In 2014 alone, HSBC Brunei employees have collectively logged nearly 600 volunteering hours. For most of the projects we undertake, we ensure that there are opportunities for engagement by our employees and/or by the organisations we partner with as well as members of the public.
